Lodz Reymont Airport (LCJ) is currently served by three airlines that offer scheduled direct international flights. They are: Adria AirwaysRyanair and Czech Airlines. They offer flights from or transfering in Munich, Amsterdam (Adria), London-StanstedEast Midlands, Dublin, (Ryanair), Prague, Edinburgh (Czech Airlines).

Unless one cannot fly directly to Lodz we recommend flying to Warsaw Chopin Airport. It has numerous non-stop connections to major European destinations, as well as North America and East Asia (Warsaw-Beijing route by LOT Polish Airlines). Once you fly in you can either take a bus or train to Lodz. Modlin Bus has 6 buses daily between the airport and Lodz. Trains operate more frequently, one can catch train leaving from Warsaw Central Station (Warszawa Centralna) to either Lodz Widzew or Lodz Kaliska stations (it takes about 2h to get to Lodz). There is a train station next to the airport terminal building (about 30 min. to Warsaw Central Station).

You can find the train schedule and buy tickets on-line here: www.rozklad.pkp.pl

Alternatively, one can fly to Berlin Schönefeld Airport and take a PolskiBus  coach (www.polskibus.com) directly from the terminal building to Lodz. The journey takes about 6,5 hours.

While there are no international trains passing through Lodz, one can easily transfer at any other major Polish cities. When taking a train, consider these two stations: Lodz Widzew and Lodz Kaliska. Please pay attention which railway company operates the train you plan to take as each sell their own tickets. Most long distance trains belong to either PKP Intercity (marked EC, EIC, Ex, TLK) or PKP PR (marked Interregio or IR). For Lodz-Warsaw route no seat reservation is needed in 2nd class.

You can find the train schedule and buy tickets online here: www.rozklad.pkp.pl

PolskiBus (www.polskibus.com) offers reasonably priced, comfortable coach services from Berlin and Prague to Lodz. They also operate a Vienna-Bratislava-Warsaw route. You can use their services on domestic routes as well (e.g. Warsaw-Lodz).
